Professional Email Service Options
Email is an essential business tool. Even though it is simple to use, technical support is often needed to ensure it works effectively on your PC, Phone or Tablet.
At W3 Design we are Website Designers and Marketing Professionals, we are not trained computer technicians. For this reason W3 Design do not offer server-based email or technical support surrounding email.
You may have been using an @xtra.co.nz or @gmail.com email address, but now you have your domain name these can be replaced with a more professional email @yourdomainname.co.nz
If you do not know where to start we recommend the use of either Microsoft Office 365, Google Gmail or Microsoft Exchange (other services are available, the choice is yours). We do favour Office365 as the preferred Business option as we have been using it for over 4 years and know it is very reliable and easy to use.
Setting up any of the three email services mentioned above is very straightforward, however we do recommend you use the services of your computer maintenance company to assist you. They should be experienced in setting up emails correctly, transferring emails from your computer to the new system, and will be able to help you effectively. If you do not have a preferred computer support provider, we have several companies in the region that we recommend. All provide professional services and are more than capable of helping you with this or any other computer based need.
You will need to arrange to pay for your email service and any technical assistance yourself, it is not covered in the website proposal or our hosting service. We have helped many clients through this process and although it can seem quite technical at times, the outcome is a better and more robust email system that your business can use effectively.
One other thing to consider is if your printer/copier uses an email system to send or receive scanned files. You will need to discuss this and the implications with your computer service provider or copier company to ensure whatever service you choose accommodates this facility, if needed, if not now then potentially in the future.
